Service 06 — Car Seat Steam Cleaning
Car seat steam cleaning for fleets and dealerships
Vehicle interiors take more abuse per square metre than anything in a building. We steam-clean seats, carpets and trim on site — one car or a whole fleet in a visit.

Overview
About our car seat steam cleaning.
A pool car does thousands of kilometres with a different driver every week. Spilled coffee, food, sunscreen, dog hair, work boots on the carpet, and the particular smell a vehicle develops when it's been closed up in an Adelaide summer. Interior detailing gets deferred until the car is due for resale, by which point the fabric has had years to absorb it.
We steam-clean vehicle interiors with compact extraction units built for the job — heat to break down the oils and grime, controlled moisture so nothing under the seat stays wet, and enough vacuum to pull the soil back out. Fabric seats, carpets, floor mats and boot linings all get the same treatment. Leather and vinyl are cleaned and conditioned rather than extracted.
For fleet operators and dealerships we work on volume, on site. Bring the vehicles to a bay or give us access to the yard and we'll work through them in sequence — which is far cheaper per vehicle than booking them individually into a detailer.
A vehicle with a clean, odour-free interior consistently shows better and moves faster than the same car with a stained driver's seat. On a dealership's used stock, interior steam cleaning is one of the cheapest things you can do to protect the asking price.
Scope
What our car seat steam cleaning includes.
Everything below is written into the quote before anyone starts work.
Fabric seat extraction
Hot steam extraction through the seat fabric to lift embedded soil, oils and staining.
Carpets and floor mats
Vehicle carpet and removable mats extracted, including under the seats where the grit collects.
Boot and cargo lining
Boot carpet, cargo barriers and load-area linings cleaned out — usually the worst area in a work vehicle.
Leather and vinyl
Cleaned and conditioned rather than steamed, to keep hide supple and stop seam cracking.
Door cards and trim
Interior door panels, sills and plastic trim wiped down and detailed.
Odour neutralising
Smoke, food, pet and mildew odours treated at the source in the fabric.
Headliner spot cleaning
Careful spot treatment of roof lining, which delaminates if it's over-wetted.
Fleet volume runs
Multiple vehicles handled in sequence on site, scheduled around your yard's operating hours.
Why us
Why sites book car seat steam cleaning with THNZL.
We come to the vehicles
Fleet and dealership work is done at your yard — no shuttling cars across town one at a time.
Priced for volume
Per-vehicle rates for fleet runs come in well under booking each car into a retail detailer.
Right method per surface
Fabric gets extracted, leather gets conditioned, headliners get spot-treated. Not one process for everything.
Dries in hours
Controlled moisture means the vehicle is back in service the same day, not airing out overnight.
The payoff
What you get out of it.
Stronger resale
Interior condition is one of the first things a used buyer judges, and one of the cheapest to fix.
Better for drivers
Removing embedded dust, mould and allergens makes a shared cabin genuinely more pleasant to sit in.
Slower wear
Grit in seat fabric abrades it exactly the way it does carpet. Taking it out extends the trim's life.
Handover-ready
Pool cars, hire vehicles and lease returns presented clean without a scramble the day before.
How it works
From enquiry to first clean.
Five steps, no mystery. You know what happens next at every stage.

FAQs
Car Seat Steam Cleaning — your questions.
How long does a vehicle take?
A standard sedan interior is around 60–90 minutes for a full seat and carpet steam clean. Vans, seven-seaters and heavily soiled work vehicles take longer. On a fleet run we sequence vehicles so several are drying while we work on the next.
Will the seats be wet afterwards?
Damp to the touch, not wet. Extraction pulls most of the moisture back out and vehicles typically dry within two to four hours with the windows down or the fan running. We don't hand back a car with soaked foam.
Can you remove smoke smell?
Usually a substantial improvement, sometimes complete removal. Smoke penetrates fabric, headlining and the ventilation system, so heavy long-term smoking odour can need more than one treatment. We'll give you a realistic assessment when we see the vehicle.
Do you clean leather seats?
Yes, but not with steam. Leather is cleaned with a dedicated hide cleaner and then conditioned, which both cleans it and prevents the drying and cracking that ruins leather seats over time.
Do you do fleet and dealership work?
That's a large part of this service. We work on site at yards and depots, handle multiple vehicles per visit, and price per vehicle for volume. Regular scheduled runs can be set up so stock or pool cars get done on a cycle.
